To Our Past

My second solo piano piece, composed in FL Studio 21, following the photo theme for the OST Composing Jam 7. 

I imagined a story of two friends, the girl and the bubble figure, who once were able to play together, but were now unable to meet each other after the link connecting their worlds was broken due to an abnormal creation of a third world. They, and citizens of those worlds, attempt to resolve the issue and attempt to reconstruct the link; otherwise, both worlds lose the unique systems of the other in developing their civilizations. With each passing moment where the issue remains unresolved, the two friends would go to the spot where they played together in each other's world during their breaks and recall those moments, wondering if they would be able to play together again like in the past.

The rhythmic pattern for the soundtrack is mainly drawn from a soundtrack called "You" and its variants from the anime and visual novel series called "Higurashi: When They Cry," as I struggled to modify the rhythmic pattern without modifying the overall vibe to a more "sad" or more "happy" vibe.
